The White Sheik is a characteristically distant film by Fellini, a giggle-inducing featherweight screwball comedy that opens very cynically on the first two days of a marriage, a socially meticulous layman having brought his virgin bride to Rome for their honeymoon, a meeting with the Pope, and to introduce her to his uncle. When he takes a nap, she, already regretful and bored, sneaks off to find the offices of a romance magazine she reads devotedly with the intent to meet the film's title character, a manly soap opera hero. Blindly smitten, she does not care when she finds herself far from Rome, alone on a boat with this hunk, hilariously over the top with Alberto Sordi in the role, leaving her distraught groom to scramble covering for her. Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni's goofy set-up leads to a hilarious satirical turning point and subsequently Fellini's trademark lingering and wanderlust.
This is self-steering gear, one you can watch very easily and indifferent to the characters' pain, pleasure, grief or joy because Fellini wants only to have some farcical fun at arm's length. As always, even Nino Rota's lush, carnivalesque music is almost incidental, as if it were source music, complete with Fellini's quaint imagery. Really, it is quite a funny movie.

Y esta fue "supuestamente" destituida por la Organizaci�n Clandestina. Los medios serios de Panam�, periodistas de far�ndula, la C�mara Paname�a de Comercio e Industria, Atlapa, ni el Registro P�blico menos ninguno de los auditores de la Junta de Control de Juegos menos la ACODECO y las Notarias de la Ciudad de Panam�, conocen de dicho evento menos de la Organizaci�n Vergara. Y lo peor es que no se le puede felicitar por una buena representaci�n pues lastimosamente la calidad de representante es abismalmente distinta tomando en cuenta la belleza de las que si clasificaron. No importa la ropa, los accesorios ni cuanto costaron. Si al final gana una miss HERMOSA DE VERDAD que es enviada con m�s facilidades, una organizaci�n responsable y profesional, caracter�sticas que notablemente les falta a la Sra. Adela Vergara y a su hija G�nesis. Queda de esta forma completamente comprobada que esta persona no son capaces de dar una buena representaci�n a Panam� e independiente de las franquicias que tengas, no han demostrado unir sino separar, no han dicho la verdad sino mentiras y el resultado lo demuestra. Al parecer las pr�xima VICTIMAS de estas personas sin escr�pulos ni pizca de profesionalismo es la representaci�n paname�a al Miss Internacontinental a la que de seguro enviaran, no a una mujer de dudosa belleza con preparaci�n mediocre, sino algo sumamente peor.
